Dr. Christine Chan is the founder of Chan Environmental Consulting, a private practice that helps develop sustainable strategies for responsible companies. Her research and interests include the role of sustainability in creating new markets, the effects of global climate
change on corporate growth and competition strategies, and quantifying sustainability across entire supply chains.

Dr. Chan began her career as a NASA Global Change Fellow in the mid 1990s and has worked in environmental science, R&D, policy, and strategic planning ever since. Her field work has taken her to the Sea of Japan, the Gulf of Mexico, the North Atlantic, and to the skies over the Florida Everglades, where she led the effort to quantify environmental performance within the world’s largest water delivery and ecosystem restoration project. She has lectured on environmental science and corporate sustainability issues in France, US, Argentina, and Taiwan. She received a PhD in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island, an MBA from HEC School of Management in Paris, and a BA in Biology from Oberlin College. She speaks French and Chinese, and serves on the board of directors of the U.S. Pan-Asian American Chamber of Commerce, the Journal of Environmental Investing, and the Community Council of Greater Dallas.
